Polka Doodles 3rd Birthday

Hi everyone,

Todays card was inspired  by the Polka Doodle Birthday challenge. I used a gorgeous digi named Ava from Krista at Saturated Canary. She has the most wonderful little digi's. This one is a free digi she has on her blog right now so if it is still available you should go grab it while it's there.

I colored her with copics but the set I have doesn't have a lot of colors that go together so I used quite a few different colors that I thought would look all right together. I used a 5x7 whisper white base. I stamped versa mark onto the base and dabbed chalk to get the background. I have done this before years ago but so sorry I am not sure the name of the technique. Oh maybe it was called black magic. I used the SU thin dies with my bigshot and cut around the image. I added 7 small rhinestones and 3 bows. I doodled around the cardbase with sakura sparle gel pens and inside the cutout. Added happy birthday sentiment and the card is finished. I love to color so I do enjoy using all the different mediums that are out there to choose from.

I am entering this card in these challenges

Enchanted

Hi everyone,

It finally quit raining today and I see some sun trying to come through. Today's card is a digital image from the Joanna Sheen CD Enchanted. It has some beautiful images and it was very hard to choose what I wanted to do. I finally chose this one with the cute little fairy on her hand. I have used a lot of glitter. I took some white small roses and colored them with ultra marine copic marker then added 3 small pearls. I am adding this card into these challenges.

Happy Birthday Bears

Hi everyone,

Todays card is for a little boys birthday that is coming up soon. The image is a sugar nellie stamp that I have had for abput 3 years and it's the first time I have used it. The blue card base is SU, the DSP is from recollections stack, the white I am not sure. A friend that doesn't do cards anymore gave me all her card stock and she can't remember where she got the paper. It is very heavy and perfect for copic markers. I have lots of the white. Yippee!  I cut the white layer with # 23 spellbinders, and the butterflies are from SU butterfly embosslets die. I distressed them with brown around the edges. The happy birthday sentiment is from SU teeny tiny wishes. I then added glitter around the edges of the embossed area of the white layer.

Stamp sets: SU teeny tiny wishes, sugar nellie two bears
Paper: SU: ballet blue
DSP: recollections stack, unknown white
Ink: memento black, brown,  Copics:B00, B21,B23, 100, C5,C3,E31,E35,E37, R20, V12,RV11
Accessories: SU glitter, SU butterfly embosslet, Spellbinders lable #23

Happy Mother's Day

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share this card I made for mother's day. I took the image from a Joanna Sheen CD but at the moment the name is not coming to me. It is a 3D image and I layered it onto another center fold step card base. I printed the cordinating paper to go with the image. The ribbon at eh side is a pretty flower ribbon I found at the dollar store. The roses are from Micheals and the sentiment is from the computer. The font name is kunstler script.

Merry Christmas Angel

HI everyone,

This is one of the cutest images I have ever seen, and those eyes are so pretty. I am really liking the center fold step card so I find I am using it a lot lately. I made this 6|" center step card and used the recoleclltions jinglebells christmas stack. it has so much sparke in it but again the photo doesn't do it justice.

The image is from Saturated Canary Stamps.  I love all of her stamps they are just the cutest images. They remind me a little of the presious moments images. I glittered the wings and the christmas ornements.

I colored the image with copics E31,E37,Y21,E21,E00,E0000,R20,C3,B21,B32,RV11,R27,R29, blender p en.

I used the # 23 labels spellbinders to cut around the image.

The merry christmas stamp is from the SU teeny tiny wishess. I then used the modern label punch.

Sunflowers

Hi everyone,

I had my post half done and just like magic it disappeared. I have been using the new blogger for a while now and I still am not sure I like it very much. Anyway on to my card. This image is from the Joanna Sheen Jayne Shasky CD. There are so many beautiful images on the CD it is hard to just pick one to do. I thought this card would be great for a man so I choose it so I'd have one on hand. It is a 3D decoupage sheet 5.25 X 5.25 printed layered and then I added a small punched out dragonfly from a scrap of background paper. The pieces were all quite large so it didn't take long to cut and put together.  I am entering this into a few challenges

Thomas Kincade The Lighthouse

Hi everyone,

My friend Cat over at Cat's Creative Corner have decided to challenge each other to make cards. I needed a man's card for a friends birthday so Cat and I had choose to use Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kincade CD. I used a decoupage sheet of the light house. I layered it onto a SU bashful blue Card stock and then the card  base is SU kraft card stock.
I shaped the rocks and the light house to make it look more rounded.I had lightened the photo but it didn't look right so I left it darker.

I am entering this card into a couple of challenges

Decoupage Birthday

Hi everyone,

Here I am ready for another challenge. this card is a Jayne Shasky shape decopage card image.  The photo doesn't show how 3D it looks. I made a mistake when cutting it out at the bottom front so it was a bit short. I colored a white piece of paper and attached it to the bottom of the card. I am quite pleased with the result and I think my friend will really like it.The card part is the bottom half of the crate. The top half is open  and gives it the shaped look. I am entering this card in a few challenges.
